Hi Scotty

i recently bought a 2010 Toyota Venza 4 cylinder AWD with 159,000km which is equal to roughly 99,000 miles

i do not know if the transmission fluid has ever been changed. Should i change it? Will it cause any problems? Also does this car have a transmission fluid filter ? Should it also be changed ?

Clarification: What is the condition of the fluid? (I.e. color, smell burnt?, any embedded particles?). Do you have any shifting issues?

I cant check it cuz there is no dipstick
I dont have any shifting issues

Just do the drain and refill.

See my clarification comments under your opening post.  But at 99,000 miles on that Toyota Aisin transmission - you should be OK changing the transmission fluid (drain and fill only).  And if you want to be super cautious, you can save all the oil fluid (after you drain it) in a separate container just in case you have any issues with the new fluid;  let’s say you did have issues then you can drain and fill with the old fluid again.  As it is you won’t be able to swap 100% of the fluid with a single drain and fill.  But on Toyota’s and at that mileage you are generally OK changing it.  Also, change the filter if applicable.  Be sure from this point onward to then change every 40,000 miles.

Your owner's manual (that little book that came with the car you never read) will tell you the intervals at which the fluid and filter should be changed.

It'll be a good idea to change the fluid that's in the pan. A full flush is risky. Anyway, this youtube video should help:
