Hey Scotty. First off what you do is really cool, I recently found your videos and have been binging the hell out of them, and have definitely learned more about cars then I used to. I remember in one of your videos you mentioned that you didn’t mind if viewers sent you videos of their car woes, and I hope that’s still the case because mine has been making a funky noise lately lol. I have a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe with approx 103k miles (automatic), and the past couple months it’s been making this high pitched whine shortly after a cold start up. I pointed to roughly where it sounds like it’s coming from when it started making the noise. Is this something I should be worried about, or just old car noises? It’s a bit more noticeable in person. When I first heard it I saw that the power steering fluid was a little low, so I topped it off but it didn’t seem to help. There’s no codes. Like I said my car knowledge is a little limited, but I’m guessing it might be the power steering pump starting to go? I currently have no problems driving though, including the steering. Any idea what it could be? Thanks so much for the help! I appreciate the help of anyone else on the forum too! Here’s the link for the video on YouTube.

Oh wow, thanks for the response! I’ll definitely check that out especially my belt, as I’m not sure it’s been changed before. Appreciate the help!
Well, first thing you want to do is check the fan belts. If they're old they're going to whine. If they're loose they're going to whine. And of course, if you have power steering fluid check to see if that's low. That'll line AC compressors can often whine too. You can pinpoint the sound. If you watch my video finding the sorts of cars Scotty. It's on YouTube
