Hyundai Motor Group (HMG) Problems

In December of 2020 I bought my daughter a brand new 2021 Seltos with a CVT AWD and the 2L GDI engine. She uses it to drive to college. It has survived 3 central New York winters. She now has 21K on the car. One of the things to take note of is the car was built in Korea not Georgia. That seems to make a difference. I runs great and all I do is change the oil and filters. I understand the turbos are blowing up right and left and yet my neighbor bought a Seltos turbo around the same time I did and his is holding up. He is aware of the turbos reputation so he babies it. He is also a mature adult who does not abuse his cars. He says it's nice to have that little extra power when merging or passing but for the most part he did not need the turbo. The car is so light the 2L is more than adequate.
That's horrible to have an engine blow up after 3 months of use. Just plain ridiculous.
Scotty viewer has an experience with an engine blowing up and Kia refuses to replace it even though they should:

Here is another story of a Hyundai Failure That Happened to me recently. My sister has a 2023 Hyundai Kona Limited w/20,180 mi. She reported Apple CarPlay is not working. Took it to a Hyundai dealer, claimed there wasn't a problem. I took it to another dealer, they found the USB jack needed to be replaced. That didn't fix it. Surely enough, the whole infotainment system needed to be replaced. That got replaced, under warranty. Why on earth are infotainment systems failing on a two and a half year old car with 20,000 miles? C'mon Hyundai thought you were better than this!
Korean cars are killing people again.
This time a, a 2yo girl in Akron was pinned and suffocated to death by a Hyundai Palisade automatic seat. Bystanders couldn't get her out.
6 months BEFORE this happened, another little girl was nearly crushed (mother yanked her out in time). The mother tried to warn Hyundai , who quickly brushed it off and said "the seat is working normally". Evidently, the seat was designed to kill and maim people.
