My 2017 Honda Accord touring (50,000 miles) infotainment screen boots up then reboots itself back up a few seconds, what can i do to fix it?
Appreciate the help!
Well pray you have a wiring short. Like maybe a problem in the ignition switch the electrical part. Because if not your screen's going out and those things cost a fortune nobody sells them except Honda
I’ll check it out, i really don’t wanna visit the dealer because i know they’ll price gouge me, thank you for pointing out the problem keep up the good work!
Two things you might consider:
1- Make sure the HondaLink software is up-to-date, if not, then update it.
2- When checking for a bad/weak ground, pay some extra attention to the the driver's side door & switch. HondaLink systems are often manually reset by using this door. If the switch is squirrelly, it might be affecting your system.
Honda's instructions for rebooting that system are as follows (and it's why I added this reply): "Press and hold the audio system power button for 5 seconds. A menu may pop up and ask you if you want to reboot the system. If this doesn’t work, turn the vehicle off, open the driver door, close the driver door, and restart the vehicle."
I did try to update the HondaLink in my car but the infotainment screen shuts off then reboots itself, pretty much boot looping

The inability to check for a HondaLink update because the unit is stuck in a boot cycle points toward a hardware malfunction. Removing and bench testing is usually a futile effort because replacement is more cost effective. These touchscreen units are commonly replaced with aftermarket units and it's typically a wiser course of action.
