Easy solution ... Don't buy one.

The reason they steal Hyundai and Kia cars in Wisconsin is to go bowling.

well what else are ya gonna do in Wisconsin

That's the point!

Almost any modern cars is super easy to steal, the Russians have perfected it.

Be it a Hyundai Econo-box, A Tesla,

Or even cars that almost never get stolen,

There’s a way to drive off it in.

and that’s why there’s a whole industry to produce and install additional locks, advanced imobilizers, tracking devices, and much much more. I’ve even seen a tracker that replaces your fuel pump relay and can shut off the fuel to your car based on geo-fencing alone.

usually the most stolen are Honda Civics and Toyota Corollas but I guess Hyundai’s are a bit easier (Where I live this heavily effects the insurance premium for a Corolla)

(In general: Obviously you shouldn’t steal, and you shouldn’t commit crimes in general. Also videos may contain strong dialect, haven’t checked the entire length of it)

clever

@mmj well, the most clever thing I saw is some people disassemble them on the spot instead of stealing Lol.

also they later show how easy it is to get equipment that would prevent this. It’s sad that OEMs don’t install it at the factory. the only ones I’m seeing that currently are installing advanced anti-theft are Nissan.

Amongst all other issues Kia/Hyundai have, in my opinion، this theft issue is the smallest one.

Just put a turbo GDI emblem on it. Nobody steals the korean made turbos. Thieves pass them over. They blow up during the getaway.

I don’t understand what the question is.  But I suppose this is yet another reason to stay away from the brand.

Those pesky Koreans. Their quality is so low everybody steals them. That's like the joke "That restaurant is so crowded nobody goes there any more".

My niece was the fourth Honda owner in my neighborhood to have her catalytic converter stolen. What she is going though between the repair , the insurance company and being without the car it would be easier if the whole car got stolen.

There is a valid point , where's the car repair question?.

I think the point was that they're easy to break into .
Since when is this forum only about car REPAIR?

https://www.carcomplaints.com/news/2022/hyundai-theft-fix-is-a-170-security-kit.shtml

October 1, 2022 — A Hyundai theft fix is allegedly being offered as of today in the form of $170 security kits for Hyundai vehicles, while Kia is offering steering wheel locks for its cars.

This is a joke, right?

Yes. Hyundai IS a joke.
