Hey Scotty, I just got a 2022 Hyundai Elantra. Hyundai recommends that I change the oil every 8,000 miles, but a few people I've talked to said to change it every 5,000. Should I go with Hyundai's recommendation or should I change it sooner?

Every 5000 miles is the best practice. Hyundai wants to sell you a new car when this one is out of warranty and croaks.

Change you oil, filter and pcv valve every 5000 miles max if you want your engine to last.
