Hello, I'm currently rebuilding a 72 triumph spitfire mk4. Got the motor running and rebuilt the clutch master cylinder, along with the rest of the clutch assembly. The cylinder was in rough condition and froze on my first bleeding attempt. So instead of messing around I bought a new master and installed. It seemed to bleed ok but wouldn't let me shift into gear. So assuming I had air still I attempted to bleed again. When the new master froze. I was able to get it to release but now it freezes up everytime I try to bleed. Am I missing something? Am I or something else causing this to happen? Or is it just bad luck and replace again? Thank you. Corey Balcom
Well it could just be bad luck that thing's so old you buy parts. Even new parts are still generally going to be old as the hills. You always replace the clutch master enslave at the same time, but you never know if that old crap is even going to be good anymore
