Hi Team Scotty Kilmer!

Hope you are keeping fantastic.

God save Hyundai and their users. Listen to Scotty to don't one in the first place.

So it goes Hyundai Kona EV users in India are facing terrible breakdown due to battery fault. The error goes "Check electric vehicle system" and the vehicle will refuse to start only to shut the ignition and turn it back on to find it gone.

A user from one forum quotes: So latest news my car has been with the service center since 2nd Dec. They have run multiple tests with data sent to the Korean team, it has been concluded that the battery could be a fire hazard. The entire battery will be replaced and the car will be delivered after a month.

All Kona owners who have received the above alert on their dashboards should immediately consult with your local service center.

I can recall my very first post on this forum was entirely about how Hyundai vehicles were facing premature breakdown, ABS failure, steering inpur fault and the list goes on.

Glad I didn't get one taking Scotty's advice and saving myself a fortune.

Thank you for reading.

Regards

-Ahmed

Cheers. Love from India 🇮🇳

Update:

Another user quotes: Just got an update from the workshop that the “Check electric system” error was because of some sensor, not sure exactly where. Resetting the sensor to its default values seemed to have removed the problem. They are reporting that they aren’t seeing that error anymore.

Audacity of dealer telling him some sensor fault, not sure exactly where.
