Topic starter
Hi Scotty,
I have a 2011 Mazda 3 and for some reason the car cranks for a few seconds to start after it was running for a few minutes. In the morning it starts right up, but if I have a really short commute say to the store, the second time I try to start it takes a couple seconds.
This has been going on for about a year and finally the starter broke, so I replaced it and the battery as well. It still does that, I was thinking maybe changing the spark plugs but I changed them about 2.5 years ago.
Any thoughts?
Thank you!

Leaking fuel injectors. A cold engine needs more fuel to start, hence it starts right up. A warm engine doesn’t need as much fuel.
