Topic starter

It burns about a quart every 500 miles or so, im thinking it needs new piston rings due to the vcm blowing them out. Somehow the car does not smoke at all despite all the oil its burning the exhaust is also fairly clean when you put your finger in it. Its also for lack of a better term pulsating when accelerating mostly between 1st and 3rd gear it does it the whole time im accellerating although most the time it shifts like it should i tend to baby the car and not rev it much past 2k, its not that bad but from what ive read it will just get worse. I'm not sure if I should just sell it or fix it.

The former is intended as a SHORT DESCRIPTION, is length-limited (overly long entries are cut short), and is not for all the details and full description of your issue. Those belong in the main body of your post. Thank you. (Title edited.)

In this video, Scotty explains how gunked-up rings can cause oil burning, and how he fixed it in a customer's car with an ATS product
