I have a Honda Odyssey with a crank no start condition I have changed all of the sensors on the vehicle I have changed all of the spark plugs on the vehicles I have even changed the coil pack I have changed all kinds of and results from the burning and when I went to start the car it backfired what happened what's going on it backfired the backfire cause the housing that houses the air filter to pop loose and Brake. How do I fix this problem it is a 2005 Honda Odyssey I wish you were here to show me LOL I don't have my grandpa anymore to show me things like this but your show has been a god-sent right now I'm going to take the catalytic converter off and try cleaning it

the backfire only means that gasoline is being Ignited inside your exhaust system. so you are running very rich mixture. check to see if youre injectors are stuck open, if not, then make sure your 12 battery is still good, most last only 2-4 years until they start to go bad and give you electrical problems. also that random issues can make the computer go crazy. NOW IF YOU HAVE A LEAK inside your piston rings, thats really serious, your gasoline is going past your piston and contaminating your oil. can you smell the oil from your dipstick? can you smell gasoline? if you cant smell gasoline then youre good, we need more details. Also your spark plug gap must be correct, probably gasoline is not being ignited properly becaus of incorrect GAP, and exiting to your exhaust system. i reccomend you use only reccomended gasoline, if you use regular only use regular. its normal for gasoline to go inside your catalyc converter but not alot, just very little. if youre catalyc converter is going HOT and you have too much gasoline not being ignited properly, you have backfire. i would clean those injectors and take them to your dealer or buy new oem only. one last think, if you can clean oxygen sensors, do yourself a favor , they are easy to clean, make your car run like new again. and if you ever try to work on your car and you have to get under your car, you must put your spare tires under your car, because the jack is not safe enough for you to get underneath

Hey, I’ll be glad to give some advice. I’ve seen those converters last a very long time 250k mi + but if it’s popping through the intake & it’s the 2005 with the 3.5L V6. I can almost guarantee that your timing belt has slipped. I do timing belts on those cars like brakes once they get over 150k mi sometimes sooner. But definitely have a mechanic check for bent valves as well. Those are interference engines so if the timing jumps out too much it’ll cause the piston to hit the valve and bend it. But pray that’s not the case. If all valves are fine, sometimes you can take off the intake & take a rough peak at all of them. If they’re all still straight up & down they probably didn’t get hit and you’ll be able to proceed with replacing the timing belt, water pump, and tensioner pulleys ect. Let me know what you find, and good luck.
