Well I know you have a dislike for the korean cars...( I have a 1956 chevy 3200...1967 dodge d200 quad cab 2004 ram 1500 (80000 mi) and a 2004 4wd dodge dakota) At what shop prices are now $200.00 Reno NV I also bought the warranty) I am a mechanic and work on my own cars...and others, but upgrading to higher end diagnostics equipment is almost not worth it. Enjoy the Youtube content and there were no Toyotas or hondas available new at the time 🙁
Hi. What is the question please?
If your question is "What to do with a recently purchased Hyundai Tuscon?" then here's your answer:
Change the oil every 5k miles, the transmission fluid every 35k miles. I hope you didn't pay too much money for it because Hyundai's are known for problems galore. If you leased this vehicle, get rid of it when the lease is up.

I'm going to give another answer to this question (if as you said that's OP's question). The used car market is still crazy compared to before covid; get rid of it ASAP because you can get at least what you paid for it. Then buy a Rav4 or cr-v.
Well, look - it's not Hyundai's worst car, but it's much weaker than a RAV4 from a mechanical standpoint.
It doesn't have a turbo and it has a conventional automatic, instead of their typical US market T-GDI DCT madness.
But you still should maintain it frequently, engine oil replacement interval should be no longer than 5k miles.
Replace the ATF every 25k-35k miles(!!) it's same procedure and fluid (or so I believe) as the 6 speed.
Hyundai has programed the TCM to lock up the torque convertor clutch in a very aggressive manner, and as such it creates tons of friction dust that will ablitirate the valve body - unless the ATF is replaced frequently.
The TCC programing for modern efficient small conventional automatics is insane, connecting my scan tool to my kia (it's a 6 speed with their latest firmware) - the only time I ever see the TC not locked is when I'm starting from a stop and even then it only stays unlocked until 5 mph (8 kmh).
It's not Hyundai it's a supplier, and Hyundai has dropped them after discovering these allegations§.
(Notably, they only made a few types of body panels for the Elantra, Sonata, and Santa Fe - not the Tucson)
