I was looking at a 2005 Mazda Mazda3 with 130k miles on it and a rebuilt title. They want $2,400 for it but ive already discussed and he told me he will give it for 2k. They mentioned that the ac and abs don’t work but i don’t care for the ac up here in Alaska. Im worried about the abs. Do you think this is a fair price and whether or not the car is worth buying at this point?

Never purchase a salvage/rebuilt title vehicle.
I don’t recommend you buy a rebuilt title. Sounds to me like both those items were a result of the wreck the car was previously in.
What are your other options for $2000, in your area?
For 2k I can buy a jeep cherokee from 10-15 years ago that has a ton of internal problems. There are better cars but their way out of my price range and im a student
You might get away with the Jeep Cherokee if the situation is not terrible but rebuilt titles are ones you should always stay from regardless of what the make and model is.
