Hi, I'm looking to buy a 2014-2016 Lexus IS 350 F-sport in the next upcoming weeks and I'm coming across certain models with 100,000 miles on them. I know Lexus is part of the Toyota brand which is known for reliability but should I be wary of this model with that many miles on them? obviously, it's case by case but am I better off just looking for sub-100,000-mile engines in general?
thanks
Lower miles is usually better but 100k miles is normal considering that a 2014 model vehicles is 7 years old. The average person drives 15k miles a year so that is 105k miles. Of course at that mileage you would look for a better price. Depends case by case. My 2014 Honda was bought last year with 12k miles but it had a salvage title which made it a bargain.
It’s always better to get a relatively low mileage vehicle, everything else being equal.
With more than 100,000 miles, your can bargain harder on price.
As with any used car, get it checked thoroughly by a reputed mechanic, before you buy it.
