My friend in Arnsberg, Germany recently bought a used infiniti Q50 Hybrid 2016 and now has that P1734 error, and nobody in his area seems to know how to fix it. The car has 78k km - about 48,500 miles.
He told me that he tried to tow someone or pull someone out of a ditch, something along these lines, and then the issue presented itself with the check-engine light shortly after.
Also he spotted metal shavings in oil, sounds like a big red flag. They clear the code and it just comes back, of course. Hoping to get some guidance here and share the info with him. If there are any Germany-based mechanics, please respond as well.
When he starts the engine, the car starts up but you can't take off (move).
He did also mention he was able to drive it about 100m /100 yards before it stopped. I'm trying to clarify what exactly happened if it drives a little or doesn't move at all but I figured I'll post this here in the meantime to see if anyone could share anything helpful to pass along to my buddy.

Now you know I tell people not to buy those things. They're not very well made. That is to do with the speed sensor and he said he put somebody out of the ditch. Probably messed up the wiring or somehow damage the transmission around where the speed sensor is

My sister has a 2015 Q50 non hybrid and it’s the biggest piece of crap ever made transmission failed at 105k, radiator at like 120k now check engine light and shake on start up at 147k miles idk why
