Heyo! Just wanted to look for opinions about the Honda Ridgeline since I don't really see mainstream content about them. I wanted to know how comparable they are to the Ford F-150 and what model year to look into and other recommended specifications like what kind of engine they use.
They are pretty good trucks Honda makes an excellent engines and transmission for those rear wheel drive trucks.it's just a Honda never was really a truck company so they don't do much marketing and they don't sell millions of them like f150s but I've customers with them that are totally happy
@scottykilmer Thanks a lot for the heads up, Scotty! Hope Tennessee's been treating you well 🙂
It's built from a Honda Pilot. It was designed to be an modified SUV, and not designed to be a light truck. It's front-wheel drive, 3.5L V6 9 speed transmission. FWD versions are rated to tow 3,500 pounds, AWD version up to 5,000 pound (2021 model year). Drives and handles almost like a Pilot, definitely not a serious off-road candidate, a rather wide 44.4 foot turning radius. Good comfort front, less so in rear. Rear seat folds up, and back down on supports reminiscent of a cheap lawn chair. Rear seat padding is thin, seat uncomfortable. Technology level is moderate, some commonly requested features present but that's it. Truck bed fitted with tailgate that opens up/down, or sideways, your choice. Spare tire is located in bottom of truck bed, so if your carrying cargo in bed and you get a flat, you get to unload cargo, get spare and change tire, then put cargo back in bed. The 64" bed length is about the same as other mid-size trucks. Base model price (before tax, license, delivery, etc) about $35,500.00, AWD model with other commonly requested options will cost $45,000.00 +.
Although many do not consider the Ridgeline a "pickup" in the common use of the word, CarandDriver magazine rated it #1 of the 6 mid-sized pickups, with Toyota Tacoma dead last at #6.

CarandDriver has also provided a specification listing for possible comparison to other makes/models.

However, a review from Car Connection was less generous.
