I wouldn't recommend a Mitsubishi. They don't tend to hold up well as they age.
I Thought Mitsubishi is a reliable car company.

What are your other options? I would certainly get a Toyota or Honda long before thinking about Mitsubishi.
I would only consider this if it’s the diesel Pajero Sport. Notice I said ‘consider’..
I have personally seen silly quality issues with these (for eg. headlights not working in a brand new one).
You're going to be much better off with a Toyota Fortuner. It’s a direct competitor of the Pajero Sport and both the petrol & diesel options are robust.
You can also consider the Isuzu MU-X, as that has quite a reliable engine, too.
