I recently purchased a 1995 Ford E-350. 7.5 liter 460 fuel injected motor. it has 145,000 original miles on it, sat for about 10 years, ran well but was burning oil, drivers side head (F3TE 6090-JA) was leaking oil at the rear , I removed it once the motor was out of the vehicle, broke a bolt., protruding from the head now. also bent one of those insert pins that aligns the head to the block for installation is that going to be a problem? the head was stuck on pretty good ..
my question now is .. is this motor worth sending out to be rebuilt or does it sound like trash? I live in Arizona
when all is said and done I'm planning on towing with it. looking for options

How much do you know about/trust the skills of the rebuilder? The only rebuilds I've known to be reliably good are done by folks with full, proper machine shops - and that costs about the same as a re manufactured one from Jasper or the like.
The guy who your neighbors buddy knows? That's a "might be good" situation. I bet your got the truck at a great price. If you want it to work well for a while, this is where you should consider spending some of the money you saved.
