Accord is a good car, but did you test drive it? Did you check the condition? Did you haggle the price, because they want too much money?
Look around and see what else is in this price range. I reccomend not buy from a dealership. They really rip people off. It's a shame. They probably gave the previous owner $1,000 for this thing.
they will take as much money as they can, if you LET them. If you do your research, and you know how to negotiate, then they can be very reasonable. I've bought three vehicles from dealers, and I'm happy with all three purchases. I ended up getting good value. Best of all, you have some guarantee over the condition of the vehicle. I have even come back to them with issues MONTHS after the purchase, and they happily paid for the repairs.
You can get better deals in private sales. The starting prices tend to be lower. But I don't trust sellers to make sure the vehicles are serviced, and after you hand them money then all bets are off.
I have bought more cars off private owners. You know more history about the car and often they will give you the mechanic contact information to verify. . As always you have to find honest sellers and consider the condition of the car.
I received a ream of documents for my last vehicle detailing the history all the way back to manufacture date and delivery. :). If the engine pulls hard, then the history isn't super critical. Especially for low mileage.
If they really wanted to mislead you , they could just omit things from the history.
The car itself is good BUT!
Test drive it.
Take a look at it.
Haggle on the price.
AND BEFORE YOU BUY, get a mechanic to check out the automatic transmission and make sure it is in good shape before buying, if it is wearing out, than don't buy it. If any needed repairs pop up that are not too absurd, take the cost out of the price. The car itself is great!
Way too much money. The other thing is that it is an Accord with Automatic transmission, I would consider other cars.
