I have a 1964 Chrysler with the 413 in it, it's a good car when cold, it'll fire right up and drive wherever I need to go. But after a long trip down the freeway when I turn it off and let it sit for a little while, and go to start it again when warm (Any point from a few minutes to a couple of hours) it'll fire up and idle fine in neutral, but when I go into gear the motor will start to die unless I give it more gas. For the longest time I figured this was a vacuum issue, but now I'm thinking that it's a vapor lock issue, though considering the cold weather I've been driving in, I'm still not sure, any ideas?
Vapor lock doesn't sound likely on a cold day. Sounds more likely to be a carb problem especially if it has not been rebuilt in recent years.
