Hi guys I'm Brazilian, here cars are uber-expensive, i'm looking for a decent used reliable car, cause most of them here (fiat, chevy, Volkswagen) start to fall apart after 120k miles. Toyota Etios 1.5L 2015 Manual seems a good in between, cause corollas and civic's cost too much here. It is a decent buy for someone looking for reliability first and gas mileage second? I just need a trustworthy car to take me from A to B, without breaking the bank, i don't need fancy. thanks!

Yes. The Etios is a low cost Yaris which uses the same engine in the old petrol Yaris and is a favourite among the taxi market in developing countries, around the world.

If a professional mechanic checks out the car & gives you the green light, go ahead & buy it.

The interiors may start falling apart well before the drivetrain gives up, so be prepared for rattles & cheap plastic bits (cost-cutting) as is typical of the Etios.

It’s a typical Toyota when it comes to mechanical reliability.
