KITT: Knight Industries Two Thousand.

They are so popular, that is why they are so expensive.

The Chevrolet Camero of the same generation is essentially the same car body style as the Pontiac Trans Am. The Trans Am had foldable headlights which gave it a sleeker look. And the Camero had regular headlights.

As Kaizen said, the Camaros back then are pretty close. I'd go that route and modify the front to what you want.

Yeah, Camaro, way more of them but they will all be trashed, too.
you could also get a Fiero and do it up as a tribute car. Not the same, but it’s a Pontiac and there seem to be more well-preserved examples.

Camaro & Firebird/Trans-Am...same car with different headlights/tail-lights front and rear bumpers, and some minor interior treatments. Had one variation of either from 70's to today. If you find a decent price then they all need a load of work to make them nice and drivable, and the ones that are nice and drivable are expensive because the owners know what they have. And if you want one with a manual transmission then tack on even more $$ on the asking price. They were out there (before the virus) but since used car prices are insane right now, gonna need lot's of luck.
