Mr Kilmer my 2007 GL 450 SUV will not go above 40 mph I have 2 error codes on an MB II SCANNER Which are P0016 (constant adjustment of intake camshaft of right cylinder bank in direction “retarded”).

P0017 camshaft position control constant adjustment of exhaust camshaft of right cylinder bank in direction “retarded”

How can I clear this code?  I changed the 2 left most sensors in bank one (camshaft position sensor exhaustand the cam shaft position sensor magnet) and there is no change.

PLEASE HELP

Leon

To get rid of the codes you need to fix the cause of the problem, not change random parts.

Those are complex German (over)engineered V8 engines with variable cam phasing. It might require some fancy gadgets to diagnose the problem. It's probably out of backyard mechanic league.
