Should I buy a Lincoln corsair

What do think of the 2023 Lincoln corsair? And does it have the same Ford engine/transmission which is known to have problems?

It is marketed as a luxury car, so would it be a better option than a German car?

Probably be cheaper to fix then German vehicle but not nearly as reliable as a Japanese vehicle

My mother has this car and here's everything you need to know.  The engine is a 2.0 turbocharged ecoboost I4 with an 8 speed transmission. She's at almost 10k miles and drives conservatively. We haven't had any major issues with this car and it drives fine.

It's still a fairly new car and not much is known about it. It was only introduced in 2020 so time will tell.

Depends what you mean by "German car" . Almost anything is better than a Volkswagen, but that's not saying much.

The Ecoboost engines aren't the most reliable. They've gotten a little better but there's still too many problems with engines going completely bad. A tiny turbocharged engine pulling a big SUV isn't gong to last very long.

There's a few bulletins going around about poor shifting with the 8F35 transmission, like on the Nautilus.

Some problems Ford "fixed" with software, and some needed updated gear train parts.

Clearly they're not the best.

Ford is clearly getting out of the car business in America.
