I have a 2015 Camry with 115,000 miles on it. I dont know when the last time the tranny fluid was replaced, if ever. Is 115k too late to do it?

If you want your car to keep shifting, then you need to maintain the transmission regularly.
It's a gamble at this point. If it were mine, I would go ahead and change out the fluid and filter so I know where I stand. But keep the old fluid just in case the new stuff causes problems. You can drain it out and put the old stuff back in. Are you have any trans issues now?
No transmission issues at all
Yes, you need to perform a pan service
- U760E filter - 35330-0R010 (supercedes 35330-73010)
- Filter O-ring - 90301-A0026 (supercedes 90301-27010)
- Pan Gasket (19 bolt) - 35168-73010
- Toyota recommends WS 00289-ATFWS fluid
I watched a video, and the guy didnt talk about a filter at all
You probably shouldn't follow that video
You also need to know that your U760E transmission has known issues, unfortunately. More details here:
I would do just the drain and refill.
Call up your nearest Toyota dealer with your VIN & they should be able to answer all the above questions.
I have same question of JPorter1998, mine car is 2015 Toyota Camry?
Which engine/transmission do you have?
I have 2.5L engine and the 6-Speed Automatic transmission
ah, you have the dreaded U760E.

There seems to be several videos on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=u760e+fluid+change
But wait. You said you already changed your fluid ...
https://carkiller.com/scottykilmer/qa/rattle-after-changing-sparking-plugs-and-transmission-fluid/
Yes I changed it with the sparking plug. After that my car developed a rattle when i shift to R or D mode! I do not know if this rattle coming from the engine or transmission. My question I pumped fluid same amount of fluid drained as per scotty video but also he said if it is started to overflow from the filling plug it is a sign that the level is good. So my question which method is correct pumping the same amount or until it start to come out the filling plug?
Watch the videos I linked above.
Does the transmission drain bolt have a crush washer also?
You need to remove the whole transmission pan.
These guys will almost certainly have a video how to do it:
https://carkiller.com/scottykilmer/postid/210649/
The dealer is lying as usual. Scotty recommends changing the trans fluid every 30-50,000 miles. You're now about 50,000 miles past due.
Scotty changes his Celica fluid every 60k miles.
Yes I saw that Scotty changes his fluid every 60k, but I am reading if it has never done and it passed 100k miles, then replacing the fluid can cause a transmission to be start slip. In another ward, is it still safe to change it for first time with high mileage 110k?
I was talking to Doc.
.
Where did you read 100k?
Your question is answered in the FAQ and Scotty's video.
This fellow has a fantastic series of videos about checking and changing fluid in Toyota transmissions.
The exact model may differ, but the procedure is generally the same on the sealed units.

I have a 2015 Camry SE I4, 6-speed automatic transmission with 115k miles. I want to do the oil change and transmission fluid change in one sitting. What type of tranny fluid does my car take? It doesnt specify underneath the hood or manual. Please help. Does this car have a transmission filter?
Toyotas take AC Delco Dexron VI fluid and filters are available at AutoZone for about $16. Change schedule for fluid and filter is 30-50,000 miles.
those transmissions have filters? I watched a video, and the guy didnt talk about a filter at all
Yes, they do. Having a drain plug is useful so that "you" don't have to struggle keeping from spilling fluid all over the place when taking the pan off. The pan has to be dropped to replace the filter. If your pan doesn't have a drain plug then you should consider replacing it with an aftermarket pan that does have a drain plug. My 02 Mustang didn't have a drain plug on the transmission pan and I had quite a mess trying to get the pan off - I replaced the pan with an aftermarket pan that has a drain plug. But I have seen videos where the filter is outside of the pan. Also, I have seen videos where some "mechanics" don't think it's necessary to change the filter.
It doesn't need to be a struggle. Remove the bolts on one side of the pan and loosen the others, so that one side drops, and the fluid drains out that side. Use a pan large enough to catch the fluid.
@Doc Toyota prescribes their World Standard (WS) fluid for this transmission.
AutoZone, O'Reilly. Rock Auto, Parts Geek, Advance, NAPA, etc.
Drain and fill, don't do a flush with this mile.
Drain and Fill. If it is a 2015, it is time.
Yes, the fluid (and the filter) should be changed.
Im planning on doing a transmission fluid change this weekend. Does the transmission drain bolt have a crush washer also?
which engine?
Its the 2.5l 4 cylinder model
Probably yes, if not another type of sealing washer, ie, fiber.
does it have one?
Hi Scotty, I have a Toyota Camry never changed the transmission fluid. I took to Toyota dealer asking them to change the fluid. They told me it is lifetime and I don’t need to change it. I am reading on this site we should change it every 60k miles. Can I change the transmission fluid on 2015 Toyota Camry with 110k miles?
From what Ive read and heard, the consenus is that you pump the same amount of transmission fluid in that drained out. Ive heard Scotty say a couple times in the past, that you keep filling the transmission until fluid starts coming out of the fill hole. Which one should I follow?
What kind of transmission?
I have same question of JPorter1998, mine car is 2015 Toyota Camry?
It should. Also, when you changed the transmission fluid, did you remove the pan and replace the filter too? If so, did you have to remove any heat shields or sheet metal?
Hi Doc, no I did not remove the pan or replaced the filter. I just opened the drain plug filling plugs. I pumped the same of amount of fluid drained from the car. BTW I saw Scotty told that we should pump the same amount of fluid but he also mentioned that we should keep filling until fluid start to come out the filling plug (top plug). Which one is collect?
Add fluid until it comes out of the filler plug.
