Looking at a mazda 3 sedan 2021, are they as good as toyota as in reliability? I was also thinking about getting a tacoma 2021 if mazda are not that great.
Toyota now owns 20% of Mazda so the Mazdas are much better than they were not quite as good as Toyota's but pretty close
thanks scotty
They are not on the same level as Toyota but still up there in the Top 3 behind Toyota and Honda. I would actually consider a Mazda over a Honda myself these days since Honda quality/reliability has slipped while Mazda has continued to go up. Their engines (both naturally aspirated and turbocharged) and transmissions (6-speed conventional automatic) are fairly reliable but avoid the cylinder deactivation that comes on the 2.5L naturally aspirated I4. Sometimes it is optional (depending on the trim/package), other times it is standard on all trims/packages (check the brochure).
Not bad, but not on par with Toyota. Not yet anyway.
