Welcome to NE Scotty. Glad to have you back. I recently bought a 2000 tundra V8 4.7L SR5 RWD with 230k miles. I noticed the brakes are very spongy, checked the brake fluid level. There is plenty. Could it be a master cylinder issue? No ABS light on and the brakes do work when pressed hard.
Thanks
Brad

sounds like you have air in your lines.
air is compressable, brake fluid is not
if your master or wheel cylinders were leaking, you'd have little or no fluid in your resivioir
same result for leaking brake lines
bleed the lines and see what happens
and check your power brake diaphram for leaks.
