So I had a question I was planning to buy mustang Gt 500 but there was no point of it because where should I use all that power not on street and tracks are expensive.
So I was thinking of buying mustang bullit is it worth buying a new one. It is Naturally aspirated and come with standard transmission which I like?
Should I buy it ?
Welp ...after doing research and listening to people comments I will be sticking to my beloved civic type R and Honda 2011 civic si
@Mod_Man You take it from here. I'm not the right guy for the job lol. Time to learn again from everyone else.
In short, AVOID IT.
Ford started using plasma cylinder wall linings in 2018 and have had nothing but engine problems since.
In addition, it comes equipped with the God awful MT-82 transmission which is one of the worst transmissions you can possibly buy in any car. Google "MT-82 Issues" and you'll see what I mean.
Don't waste your money. The Bullitt is a cool idea. It is just overpriced and very poorly executed.
Purchase of any new car, the minute you drive it off the lot you lose money. The depreciation is ridiculous. If you really want one the best bang for your buck buy a used one a few years old. Private Sale if you can swing it. Special cars dealers just love to markup past book value.
When it comes down to buying used sports car I am usually against because you don't know how the previous owner driven the car and how much love and care he out in that car. Did the person maintain it or drive like a maniac. I know how to do bargen when I was buying civic ty R limited The dealer was charging me 48000 to be exact without tax I got it for 46000 with tax and some other accessories included so yeah
Regular mustang GT I would agree with you. People soending the money for a GT500 or Bullitt usually take better care of their cars.
Is that one of the ones that comes with a Chinesium manual transmission that falls apart? I'd pass on that.
Not only do they come with the crappy Chinese transmissions....the engines have the gawd-awful plasma etched cylinder liners.
You'll be sorry.
See below from our Mustang expert Mod_Man: I would avoid it, or just lease it if you must have it.
