Hyundai i40, 2013 crdi, blue drive, done 97k mile, 1.7 Diesel. Europe UK.
Entertainment white on stop and black/gray on driving smoke from the tail pipe and that's happening while the regeneration cycle which is not regular and mostly to occur when i drive in a traffic or after series of car stop on cold drive. Smoke smells odor and hard to smell it.
Oil level is ok. Coolant level is ok. No power loss, EGR has been checked, programmed DPF regeneration has been done, oil stablizer added, turbo has been checked and cleaned. ECU and sensors showing no errors.
To let the car stop smoking when that happens used to drive on the highway on lower gear (4), rpm 2500, 50-60 mph for 15 to 20 minutes.
I paid a lot of money and the issue is still there.
I'm not a mechanic but it seems to be just normal diesel car exhaust fumes, unless it's tons of smoke on idle, then you have a problem

Are you sure that’s not just water vapour?

Sounds like you need to give her an Italian tuneup every week. Realise diesel engines don’t like long periods of un use or frequent short (low speed) trips.

Black or grey exhaust smoke is quite normal in diesel vehicles (especially during acceleration).
Did your mechanic show you any cause for worry, because like you said, even your ECU shows everything to be normal..
