I am finally getting around to selling the 2001 Camry that I bought used for daughter on her 16th birthday...and now she's a pharmacist.
Odometer reads 220,000 miles. I have changed the oil and filter every 5K since it was bought. My independent mechanic just added refrigerant and looked it over. Tires have 75% treadwear on the front and 50% on the rear.
1. The Check Engine light just came on; the code read catalytic converter. Since replacing that costs $800, is not changing it a problem in selling this car at the $3000 price point? How can I reassure the buyer that this is not a big deal (not an emissions state)?
2. I noticed the headliner is loose at the edge of the rear window. What glue/paste is best to reposition it?
Try some dedicated CAT cleaner and use some 3M trim adhesive on the headliner.

It is federal law to have a working converter, which could land them in hot water if they happened to get pulled over buy the wrong officer. I would just tell them that it needs replacing and leave it at that. What they do with it is their personal responsibility.

a sparing application of aerosol contact cement.
Both sound good. Thanks
