Hi Scotty. I have a 2015 Toyota Corolla LE with 28,000 miles. I blew out a rear tire the other day. Need to buy a new one. The tire is a Toyo Proxes4Plus. Size is 205 55 R 16 89H. Can I buy just 1 tire or do I have to buy at least 2? Should I buy the same brand or would you buy another brand? I usually buy Goodyear but its been a long time since I have had to buy tires. Also should I replace the Tire Pressure Monitor stem? My price range is between 90 and 115 dollars. Thank you.
The tire ain't got warranty? That's weird. Keep to the same brand in order to reduce cause for vibration, mismatching may cause pulling to one side as well. You only need one I guess if you have to buy it according to your budget. I would say ideally they be replaced in tandem with eachother so since the rear blew out, the two back tires. If this be the route you can switch brands if you want. Why replace tpms? Was it damaged? If you want to replace tpms that unit alone is like $100 bucks.
