Are nissan 350z reliable and/ or cheap to maintain? Also, are they easy to work on at home?

They are pretty reliable other than the 2003 model year which had a lot of issues eating tires.

I will say they are not cheap to work on and there is not a lot of space in there to work. The VQ engine they use makes good power and is a pretty nicely tuned motor. But when things do start messing up, it gets pricey. The transmissions in those cars, both auto and manual, are known for being fragile and making noise. That's your biggest weak spot.
