Hello, I'm looking to buy a truck (new) with a manual transmission. I've looked around and found the Toyota Tacoma and the nissian frontier still offer manual transmissions. The Tacoma is 8k more than the frontier (CAD currency).
So are the frontiers decent trucks when coupled with a manual, or should I bite the bullet and dish out 8k more for a Tacoma?
If you’re buying brand new, spend a little more & get the Tacoma. If buying used however, sure get the Frontier. They are (surprisingly) decent made Nissan trucks which don’t fall apart.
The Tacoma will last the longest out of the two. If you couldn’t spend the extra $$$, get the new Frontier.
The frontiers transmissions are not weak and they are solid trucks and will go the distance. There are really no notorious problems with them and are fairly bulletproof
Go ahead with the Frontier. Their resale value is weak so I would go used that way the price gap between the Tacoma would be even higher and you would get a good deal. If you have the money for a Tacoma, get a new one. If the Frontier is more in your budget, I'd go used to get the best bang for buck.
The frontier is a really good truck. I love the older hardbody ,but, especially in a standard they're reliable
Nissan Frontiers are rear wheel drive or AWD and their transmission is good. The manual ones can last a really long time. I would choose used Frontier over Tacoma considering the price difference.
well the weak point of the frontier is the automatic if you can afford the taco get it but if there isnt any other problems the frontier should be a good find with the Manuel nut still have t looked at by a pro
