Hi my name is randy wolfe

I'm from pa

I have a 2012 hyundai sonata limited 2.0t

The o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1 had a code. We replaced it a year ago. Reset code and all ligjt came back on said it was the same issue. I change it again 2 days go. Let it run for almost 30 mins couldn't drive it casue it not inspired. So I was told to just let it run and get hot. So I did. It smoked a little from the 02 sensor area but then it stop no light. I put it up today to change the oil and boom there the same code again for the o2 sensor. Now I had a machine look at it and he said it the computer on the car. Not sure why it would be. Any help would be great thank you.

oxygen sensors send and receive signals from the ecm so it’s entirely possible that it could be your problem.. especially with repeated sensor replacements

If I buy a used ecm. Will I have to do anything or does it just plug in and go.

That car in particular I’m not sure.. some would require calibration or key programming after

Awesome more issues. Ok thank you.
