OBD II scanner

Long-time senior viewer and fan! I have decided to get an OBD II scanner for easy-to-use help with simple repairs that I may be able to DIY. Two of your 2020 videos recommended the ThinkDriver, the ThinkOBD 100, and the Ancel AD410 as your choice for the best economy scanners. Have you any other that you like better? Which of these would be your choice for me? I will use it on a 2005 Ford Econoline E250, 5.4L, and a 1999 Lincoln Continental, 4.6L. Regards.

Scotty, which economy scanner would you recommend now?

I see an upgraded ANCEL AD530 on sale at Amazon for $48.99.

Should work well with both vehicles. And you don't need to deal with phone apps.

Not really sure, but the age of your vehicles may limit the usefulness of a more advanced scanner.

Someone more experienced may have a better answer.

I just have to answer as I am an econoline fanboy...

I have the 2005 E-350 XLT and it has been a great truck. I use a bluedriver on it, and even though the check engine light only come on once in 220K miles, it works fine.
