hey Scotty! I have a 2010 ford edge se with 275k miles (I know it’s a lot) and it reads code p0010, anytime I am at idle, regardless of gear it’s in, even simply running the car in Park it shakes like crazy. Also at idle, it drops extremely low and sometimes it does actually shut the car off. Will replacing only the VVT fix this problem?

Well replacing the VVT could fix the problem. That's a common problem those vehicles have. It can also be that the timing itself is off because of a warn chain or belt or even a wiring problem, but on those it often is the VVT system
