Hi Scotty  what  is the best way or  product to use  when  you want to  do  remove  the  carbon build up on your piston rings? I have heard there is some stuff  that you put  on the crank case and drive it  for  50 miles or  so  before  you do an oil  change?   Thanks

And you know you have carbon built up on your piston rings because of ... oil burning?

Oil burning could be worn valve seals, too,

Try this first

I dont have any oil burning yet but want to prevent it. I have on of this hondas v6 with vcm engines.. they are prone to loose oil as they age due the carbon build up and want to be proactive .

I had a head gasket fail on me once. Clouds of steam came out of the tailpipe. Let me tell you the pistons were so bright and shiny, they were like brand new!
