I’ve been watching you on YouTube now for a little while and I am brand new to this community.

I have a 2006 Dodge Caravan 3.3 liter V6 base model.
Is it normal for the air conditioning to come on when either full window (not blended) defrost and or blended is set on the climate control panel? I’ve noticed my vehicles AC kicks in when defrost mode is enabled in an attempt to defog the windows, I have noticed this happening in only humid or rainy weather other than of course just turning the AC on with the button as anyone normally would, Is there maybe an electrical issue? It is old and it is a Dodge after all from what I hear they are notorious for electrical problems.
Additionally I have noticed I can’t seem to stop the ac off when using defrost other then just turning the fans off completely. Sometimes it happens and sometimes not. Is there something wrong?

Both are normal. Regarding your question about the defrost button, you should press the defrost button to deactivate it then you will be able to control the AC.
