Want new Indian cars with high ground clearance.

Presently I drive a Honda City with an average of 50 km daily which has a very bad ground clearance and is rusted pretty badly now. Budget for new manual or automatic (anything is fine) = 15k - 25k dollars (10-20 lakh Indian rupees).

Also require an automatic car for my mother because she is not very comfortable in driving. Her travel would be average 10 km daily. Budget = 8k -10k dollars (5-8 lakh Indian rupees)

I hope I can find good recommendations from all the learned professionals here.

Toyota Yaris Cross.

As far as automatics for under $10k, I don’t think people might know - the cheapest car in the US is over $14k.

@Vikram

For you, try to trade in your car for a honda WRV. it has 188 MM and is the best in terms of value and mini SUV. If you are looking for bigger adventures, Go for Tata Harrier. They are 205 MM and also much better with the new safety standards and quality control they have.

As for your mother, Santro AMT would be the best choice at around 6l for the AMT version. IF you want a cheaper one, espresso Maruti is a good option.
