I have a question. I have an 04 PT Cruiser touring edition. Every other day I have to charge the car battery, it dies with nothing left on. Any ideas?
have you had the battery tested?
Mine was a bad fog light switch. It would switch on during the day if I bumped it or the turn signal lever. I discovered this after killing the battery 3 times and finally replacing it.
Also, check things like glovebox lites, cabin lites that are manually on. They are dim so don't really see them in daylight, or we expect them to cycle off after a couple of minutes.
Another one would be the lite in the hatch area. Other than that and a weak battery (<11 volts), I would look at me battery connections. Both of my 2003's had cheap positive connectors that could crack and corrode.
The PT Cruiser GT and Neon SRT4 can suffer from poor grounding. There are many ground cables. The SRT4 forums have diagrams somewhere.. The engine compartment has a lot of heat buildup so check cabling and wires near manifolds, starter, alternator, etc. Check fuse/relay box for corrosion or cracking.
Here are some other ideas...
