Hello All

I have NV249 transfer case from 1998 Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited. My planetary inside the transfer case has 3 pins ( https://eshop.rbs-handel.de/da/catalog/product/5977/). I am thinkink about buying a new one couse when I put this gear inside ( https://eshop.rbs-handel.de/da/catalog/product/5980/) it is quite loose. When I measure it, the gear inside moves from one side to the other 0.8mm or 0.03 inch. Can anyone tell me is this normal ?? And also I found I can buy 6 pin planetary but I dont know if it will fit. On Rockauto it says its for 242 and 249 transfer cases, but it has different serial number, and producer dont says its for 249 but says its for 242. And 96 to 98 years of Grand Cherokee had the same input gear and planetary so it should fit but can anyone confirm ??

Really thanks for any help.

For anybody that will be interested I can put 6 pinion planetary gear but has to be fine tooth, not coarse, 1996 and up. Can be Ford or any other. Thanks for help and good luck.
