[Solved] Question on clock spring.!

hi Scotty.

Have a Hyundai Santafe 2013 with 143k kms on it.

The steering buttons stopped working so I replaced the clock spring today. I have seen that the clock spring OEM goes bad often on those, so got an aftermarket instead of OEM.

All buttons are working good, but the remaining range for fuel keeps jumping up and down and it now shows 33l/100km which usually does not go beyond 10.8l/100km..

Please advise

That reading is from the car computer and I’m not sure how it relate to the steering column.

If the vehicle is not on level ground or the battery power has been interrupted, the distance to empty function may not operate correctly.

To clear the average fuel economy manually, press the SELECT/RESET button 1 second when the average fuel economy is displayed. on the steering wheel for more than 1 second when the average fuel economy is displayed.
