Hello Mr. Scotty,
I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 RWD w/ a 5.2L V8 with 137,000 miles on it. The truck has been having problems as of late. First was the truck not moving in reverse when shifted in reverse. Then a month ago, the truck started shuddering when going down the road. It'll shuddered a bit and then stop. Googling it; it looks like it may be the torque converter but I'm not sure. Also I did look into the transmission fluid and it was low. I had own the truck since 2020 and it hasn't had its transmission filter or fluid replaced. When I bought the truck it had 102,158 miles exactly.
What do you suggest to help solve or look into solving my truck's issues to get it running smoothly again AND getting going in reverse again.
Well odds are you going to have to build the transmission over. But if you want to try what that change the filter and fluid and put a bottle of lube guard anti-shudder additive in and pray
I'll give it a try and see if that'll fix it
