Hey, just got a 96 4Runner one owner highly maintained 150,000 miles V-6 Automatic. No codes. It has the known mooing issue and I will be adding size to the evaporation system. The big issue is that it randomly but often won’t start once driven away from home As reported by the last owner.

Well John if you have a random it will not even crank it means the starters wearing out if not change the fuel filter and test the fuel pump it could be getting weak
prior owner has tried many things at mech shops. research showed other 3rd gen 4Runners have it. One forum says to add a new relay to the starting circuit cuz the oem circuit fails to deliver all the juice available. Have you heard of that.
