Scotty,
I have a 2009 Toyota Rav 4 4WD with the 2.5 L. I've noticed in 1st gear, or right around 10 MPH and under, that the transmission whirs. After I speed up it's fine. I'm thinking about doing an ATF drain and refill with a new filter. It has 150k miles. Should that take care of it?

You can try. Has the fluid been changed since new?
