I have a 2017 Honda Accord with 20K miles. I recently bought it and I am working on fixing everything up to resell. When shifting out of park into Drive/Reverse, RPMs drop and the engine tone gets lower in pitch, vibrates, and gets noisier. It seems to stop once I start moving for the most part but anytime I stop at a stopsign/light, it continues.
Edit: Yes, it's rebuilt. I deal with this vehicles all day long and have one as my personal vehicle with no problems. It just depends on who did the work and unfortunately, this guy seemed to skip out on some stuff.
There is no check engine light and I only have a $20 amazon scanner.
Not all codes turn on the check engine light. You can always bring the car to a parts store that offers free code reading. However checking for codes is just the beginning of the diagnosis, you may also need to look at live data.
It's currently getting detailed but once I get it back, I will be sure to give that a try. Thank you so much for your help.

that's normal ...
vibrates
... that's not
The engine isn't running right (check plugs, compression test, live data, etc.), or the motor mounts are shot.

This is very odd for a relatively new and very low mileage, Honda.
Was this a salvage title/accidental vehicle?

I still need to figure out the problems no matter what so I can get it back in good condition and the next people who own it don't have problems.
If it’s a rebuilt title, then all bets are off. It can be like trying to fix a rat’s nest worth of issues. But if that’s what you specialise in, then by all means.. At the very least, you’re going to need to have it diagnosed by a specialist transmission shop.
Scan it for codes to find out what's going on.

Go to an auto parts store and have it scanned.
