rusty bottoms

Hey, Scotty; watch your vids regularly for tips, tricks, & some chuckles - good stuff.  My son is looking for a good used vehicle & really wants a 4runner. We've found several rigs w/anywhere from 125k-180k miles, w/decent clean bodies & decent interiors, strong engines, but the undercarriage/frame is hosed. I mean every vehicle is gonna have some rust (we live in MN, they use salt on the roads almost daily), but it seems like these toys all have significant rust issues (I've got a '12 suburban w/185k & it's nowhere near as rusty as these toys) ... so at what point is it too much??  And is there any "fix"??  No ones gonna replace a frame, right?

If the frame is rusted through or close to it, pass.

A lot of people drive those cars year round up North so they get exposed to a lot of salt, etc. Just be really careful in your search.
