Bought a used '12 scion xb 5 speed with 68k miles. I was naive and believed when the dealer told me the 170 point inspection nonsense was performed on the vehicle prior to sale. I watched scotty's video about changing the cabin air filter and decided to check it out. Filthy with leaves and other debris. Guess the inspection didn't include that. Anyway, are there any other easy replacements or general maintenance things I can do? I am not mechanically inclined in the least so don't suggest anything too complicated. Thanks.

Since the inspection was a bunch of baloney, you should get a real inspection done by an experienced mechanic.
Some easy things to check are
- the engine air filter
- engine and transmission oil dipstick
- Brake, power steering, and coolant - safe levels.
- headlights, tail lights, brake lights, turn signals , reverse lamps and hazards
- tire pressure
- emergency equip (jack, spare, etc)
