The car was $1000. It has 270K on it. Cosmetically in and out 95%.........I mentioned this previously in another question--I appreciate your advice getting a throttle position unit, it was 1150.00 less than what actually fixed the car. BUUUT---As I mentioned, it was a great advice based on trying to avoid having to get 3 new catalytic convertors. But DARN I had to. Looked around, found the original owners mechanic. He, by the good LORDS grace (and me getting the aftermarket cats')..charged $500 for all 3 installs. I paid $650 for the 3 catalytics. Bridges Auto, Purcellville. HONEST AND GOOD MAN.

It runs like new....ALL electronics work, I have electric seats for the first time in my life!

Scotty, what can I do now to keep it going?

YOU are the best. God Bless you!!!!,
Scott Allen Young, Ex Texas, now West Virginia {black}

This is scotty WV 1234---forgot to mention the biggest thing---my neighbors mechanic told me that BCM, the ECM, basically the computers in the car were replaced 2 years ago, plus the coil packs, other stuff (I knew this already---why I bought the car) But Scotty, isn't it normal to expect to put money into an older used car? And it feels safe to drive after my stroke.

Well just change the world regularly don't overheat the engine change the coolant once every 5 years and pray a lot because it is a Ford

THANKS SCOTTY!
Wish I could change the world (back to 1965) I think you meant oil?
