2011 Buick Regal CXL 2.4 (123,000 mi)
I noticed I only hear screeching from belt area when the AC is on. However the AC still blows cool air.

so have you tried changing the belt?

I’m going to the mechanic tomorrow. I just want to be sure of what else it could be besides that because I don’t want them to try to upsell me.

The tensioner can also cause that problem.

The 13-year-old belt with 123,000 miles probably needs replacing and it is telling you so....screech screech screech. 😉
